New site design!

“I made this site and all I got was a Blazer’s ticket… in the nosebleeds.”

Shouts to the homie Mza(above) who worked long and hard to design and code the new site. I have no idea what our little corner of the internet would look like without him, or if it would even exist. Thanks for this fam!

Props aside, we have a couple issues to hammer out. The ‘Search’ and ‘Comment’ functions aren’t yet working properly, but everything else seems good to go. Also, don’t forget to signup for the mail list along the left-hand side! Sandpeople 2010!

Tope ft. Cool Nutz & Illmaculate – “Yours”

Tope - Soul Music

From LocalCut;

Adding to the excitement is that Tope has enlisted help from two disparate giants of Portland music—Big Boss Cool Nutz and the reigning champ, Illmaculate—to chime in on his single. “Yours” spins a familiar tale of hustle and, you know, flow, but it does so with no shortage of lyrical prowess. We start with Tope’s verse, move along to Nutz and finally some characteristically blistering couplets from Illmac (the downside of having this guy on your track is that he almost always blows everyone else away—good call on leaving him for last here).
